Multicultural Daycares began in the Bronx more than 12 years ago after recognizing a need for childcare with truly flexible hours. At the time, many programs did not accept children before 8:00 AM and closed by 5:00 PM—making dependable care difficult for parents whose workday began at 8:00 or 9:00 in the morning.

We also saw that families needed more than basic supervision. Children deserved programs that intentionally supported their physical, emotional and social development while helping them build values they could carry into adulthood.

Respect, discipline and learning to live alongside children of different cultures, ethnicities, abilities and needs became central to our approach. Every child should feel welcomed, understood and valued as part of a diverse community.

Through more than a decade of experience and continued growth, we are now able to support Bronx families with care available 24 hours a day, seven days a week—including weekends—while maintaining the nurturing, educational and inclusive environment that inspired us from the beginning.
